Should all my furniture be the same color?

I have espresso colored tv stand, coffee table, lamp, etc…..and i want to get a bookcase for a different section of the apartment, but it only comes in black….WOuld this look tacky if it didn’t match the espresso color that I have going on? What are the rules?

Actually adding the black accent would be good. However, you need to add more black in the room to tie it together. Use simple techniques is less expensive such as:
black place mats or cover on the tops of flat furniture. Drape black flowers/vine on wall decor (or black picture frames). A few black items standing on the flat furniture (glass bowl with black marbles or whatever, be creative). Perhaps a small or folded black blanket or smaller piece of material on back of couch. Could add black on curtains.

Just add some black touches throughout the room and it will make the bookcase appear part of the room.

Czech Cubism and the Book $50 Many avant-garde movements of the early twentieth century found an entirely unique expression in Czechoslovakia.
